Senator Schatz is dedicated to assisting Hawai‘i residents who have unresolved issues with a federal government agency.

Due to the Republican government shutdown, many federal agencies and offices will be closed or limited in their work.  Decisions about the scope of the shutdown and its impacts on each federal agency will be made by President Trump and his cabinet. Depending on the federal agencies involved in your request, and the guidance they receive from President Trump, our ability to assist you may be limited or delayed until after the shutdown concludes. Our team will be tracking incoming requests and will contact you when possible.     

Although our office cannot provide legal advice, conduct investigations, or represent you before a judge or adjudications official, we may be helpful by acting as a liaison between you and the federal agency.
